Leave Yining in the morning and choose a few lakeside viewpoints at Sayram. Use the Guozigou area as a short scenic stop on the journey, not a second full excursion. Keep the afternoon return to Yining in the plan and confirm which lake transport or entrance fees are separate.
Road day: allow for stops, checks and visitor shuttles. Request a dated driving estimate from the operator.
